100% Grenache Blanc – Quail Run Vineyards, Fort Miller Rogue Valley AVA
In a slight departure from one of our favorites, the 2016 Grenache Blanc which had small amounts of Roussanne and Viognier for minerality and aromatic purposes, this 2017 production run is 100% Grenache Blanc, a true representation of the varietal in the ‘South of Oregon’ style. Designed to be smooth, balanced and plush we again barrel ferment a portion of the wine, while leaving the rest done in steel. It is a wine that can stand up to bolder flavors, and is extremely friendly when pairing with food.
Beginning with crisp apple flavors, hints of pear and tropical fruit notes, this wine finishes, as one customer put it, like ‘a spring rain on granite mountain tops.’
